if you're running single mode fiber, work immediately without any fussing. if you're running multi mode fiber ,Please make sure your multi fiber is in good condition, As regular multi mode fiber have larger loss compared with single-mode fiber.If your multi mode fiber has a big loss, it may cause some noise/hum issue, or caused shorter transmission distance, . Please minimize your fiber optic attenuation as much as possible by re-splicing the place between fiber connector and fiber etc. The multi mode fiber attenuation allowable range required is within -1.5dB for 500meters.
